hey everyone…
i thought it would be great if we used this space to share information on the books we’re reading now and hopefully inspire folks to read more often. i’m a fan of buying books instead of borrowing them at the library. don’t ask why but i always seem more motivated to read books when i own them. whatever your method is – buying, borrowing, reading it on your kindle… just read!
p.s. if you want to add something of interest you found in a paper of magazine, link us to it…
for starters, today i bought Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. i’ve seen people reading this book for months now and i finally decided to pick it up. i forced myself to put it down! it can be really creepy how people can fictionalize things you do on a regular basis. it’s like she was watching me, like the truman show (jim carey movie). anyway, for ladies – and some gents – who like to shop and ignore their debt, it’s a must read!!!
so i finished the book and it was GREAT!!!! i just can’t believe that someone fictional can be so much like me. i’m moving on to the next installment of the shopaholic series, Shopaholic Takes Manhattan. I will let you know how that goes.
throwing out some names you should check out:
