Pre-BBQ

so today i’m of to New Jerz.  my cousin is hosting the bbq to end all bbqs. the family is coming from all over to gather and break bread.  ok so i’m being a bit dramatic.  i’m not sure who’s going or even where in Jerz i’ll be.  all i know is that my cousin is my biggest fan and i’m going because it will make him happy.  will it make me happy, probably in the end. right now i’m still a bit upset about having to travel to Jerz. so this is my prediction, and the reason for my pre-bbq post.  i’m predicting that the family will gather, talk nonsense and fake smile in each other’s face.  reminisce our fairly recent trip to DR for my aunt’s funeral (R.I.P. Leonor), and admire how beautiful our family is.  there will, inevitably, be the bragging about everyone’s recent achievements, trying to trump each other to see who the alpha member of the family is.  of course that member is me, when i’m not busying myself being the black sheep (baaaa).  when i get home i will let you know how it went, my Jerz experience, and whether or not i was happy to have gone.  by the way i failed to mention that i’m going to this bbq in leu of going to another, only minutes from my home that i know i would completely enjoy.
